Neutral Ground---Blue Figures

Neutral Ground Crosshatching---Still Life

Forthe neutral ground/crosshatching-still luife we started with a middle ground paper, in otherword we used pencil shavings and rubbd it onto the paper. We used a kneadable eraser to identify shapes of light value, charcoal to darken the shadows , and chalk to emphasize the light values. Crosshatching was used on some areas as well.

Contour/Texture Drawing

Blck Paper/ White chalk

The media that were used were positive and negative dark light. In this drawing we had to shade the parts that were the lightest and then used different values to put emphasis on his facial features. Various color values (light, dark) were used to give the drawing more realistic features. We shaded the negative parts to make the images.
